Book review: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

“Catching Fire”, the second book in
The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

Against all odds Katniss and Peeta have survived and are on their Victory Tour.  You would think that this book really couldn’t have too much excitement since the game is over.
They have won, and they are on their tour.  So now life will settle down, they each have a mansion and other winnings and now we are going to find out just how they spend their time and money making the lives of all of those around them so much better.
Oh well, if that’s what you are thinking, hold tight to that book.  Katniss and Peeta are finding themselves right in the middle of a rebellion that they unknowingly started.  They are challenged with saving their lives at every turn and doing everything they can for those they care about.

Life just isn’t what they expected.  Now they have President Snow seeking revenge for making the Capitol and the game makers look like fools.  The twist and turns in this book will again have you on the edge of your seat.
Some new favorite characters and heartbreak that you just don’t see coming will keep you  you hanging on.
Progress seems to slow down to almost a boring pace, then all of sudden you are in the middle of the games again.

This time the game takes on a whole different agenda. One I don’t want to spoil for you, but you will have to pay attention so you don’t get lost.

At last a map of the districts would have been nice.
