Children with Type 1 Diabetes

We have two children with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Our kids were diagnosed in 2004, 5 months apart.  We have learned a lot in these 8 years.  I believe by now we have certainly earned some sort of honorary endocrine degree.

We are just parents, and we are not in the medical field at all.  We have learned a lot as we have lived with this via our children for these years.

We are willing to share experiences.  We are not by any means experts.  Any information you may receive from us or others in the comments section must be confirmed with your doctor.  Do not take anything here as personal medical advice, only your health care provider can give medical advice.

We don’t claim to have all of the answers, we don’t have a cure, we don’t diagnose, and we don’t treat.

We only discuss, vent, and share.
